I am writing to tell you that I gave a dvar torah yesterday at the Ein Prat minyan in Rehavia where we daven about 9 Adar. I spoke about the history and meaning of the day, and the amazing work your initiative is doing to bring it alive again in such a positive and meaningful way (I used the 9adar website to help me with this). I then linked the idea of constructive conflict to the description of the ephod and choshen in the parsha: the exphasis on the names, of each tribe being written out, of each tribe having an indivual stone, colour, and place, and how the choshen therefore represents constructive conflict: since individual opinion is valued despite there still being an ultmate answer from God.Instituting 9 Adar back into our calender is such a beautiful idea. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak about it and share it with others – I got a lot from doing it, and I think others learnt from it, and hopefully they will in some way commemorate it.
Shavua tov!! And I hope tomorrow is meaningful and successful as you have hoped.
